Wild Side of Learning

Explore at your own pace with a self-guided school or vacation care visit, or add a Discovery Session led by one of our Wildlife Education Officers. School groups can choose curriculum-linked sessions designed around classroom learning, while vacation care groups can enjoy a flexible day of wildlife, activities and discovery across the sanctuary.

Start your group booking

Ready to plan your visit? Submit a booking request for your school or vacation care group and our Education team will help you organise the details, from your chosen program to group requirements and any additional support you may need.

Kindy sessions to stimulate the senses

Designed especially for kindy groups and childcare centres, our customised 30-minute sessions explore the colours, textures, smells and sounds of Australia’s wildlife. Young learners can meet Australian animals up close, with sessions tailored to suit your group or a topic you’re exploring.

Vacation Care

Plan a school holiday day out at Lone Pine with a self-guided visit or add a Vacation Care Discovery Package. Groups can enjoy a 30-minute wildlife presentation, feed kangaroos and wallabies, and take part in a treasure hunt across the sanctuary.
